Wednesday was the 4th, and I just couldn’t resist using the day off from classes to head over to Gasworks park to watch the fireworks.  I was somehow able to navigate among the 60,000 people who showed up that evening to get a fantastic spot to set up my tripod: right at the top of the hill with an unobstructed view of Lake Union and downtown Seattle.  It was a spectacular show and I am pretty pleased with my first attempt at fireworks photography.
